Tribe is a rugged pure aniline leather with the character of nubuck. Crafted in Italy on premium heavyweight hides, Tribe delivers the natural beauty of pure aniline leather with added durability and light protection beyond traditional nubuck finishes.
We use only aniline dyes to ensure deep, rich color penetration. The hides are then finished with a light transparent water repellent for a sheen that enhances the leather’s organic movement. Next, leather artisans hand-rub each hide individually in random areas, creating subtle shifts in tone and sheen. This gives Tribe its naturally worn, time-softened character. The total effect is a rugged pure aniline leather that feels authentically natural, velvety soft, tactile, and comfortably lived-in. Tribe will gain a gorgeous patina over time.
