Articolo Studios – Australia
Leather-Stitched Elegance

Project Details
Design that shapes space—Articolo Studios' stools and tables merge art and function with Cortina's Bellina.

Known for their sculptural approach to lighting and interiors, Articolo Studios of Richmond Australia brings the same level of craftsmanship and material sensibility to their custom furniture pieces. In a recent project, the studio selected Cortina’s Bellina leather, designed by Virginia Langley and protected by Crypton—offered through our distribution partner Materialised as Crypton Leathers—as a finish selection to upholster a curated collection of stools and tables. The “Cuff,” “Flare,” and “Slip” series are more than furniture; they’re finely tailored forms that blur the line between art object and utility.
Bellina’s soft hand, sophisticated two-tone pebble design, and strong protective Crypton finish make it an ideal material to accentuate the subtle curves and distinct silhouettes of each piece. Articolo’s creative use of tone and texture—pairing Bellina’s nuanced designer palette with the tactile weight of their designs—creates a striking visual rhythm across the collection. The result is a thoughtful interplay of elegance and function, with performance built in for real-world environments.
